Tauregs have traveled along the desert for 1000's of years they carry goods over long distances, They are sometimes called the blue people because their dye on their clothes wear off on their skin.
Why do farmers use irrigation?
ecause they get little to no rain every year, They have dug canals to there farm ground from the river. Some years they cant get enough water because of the drought.
How is the land changing in Sahel?
The land is turning to desertification wich means it is becoming a desert they are starting to not be able to plant anything because it is so dry there. there is hope that they can reverse the process of desertification. they started planting trees to slow erosion.
